Ben over at Drudgeretort has a good/depressing piece about the United States of American Corporations this Sunday..
The wrapup:
In as little as twenty years, this country will be unrecognizable. Poverty will be widespread. People will become slaves to wages. Slums will dominate the countryside. Homelessness will be rampant. We’ll see elderly people panhandling in the streets. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. Freedom will be what is allowed by the corporations.
Read the whole column here.
I’m almost afraid to go read it, but just the excerpt rings true. Did you ever see Max Headroom?
Nope, but sounds like it’s spot-on.
And democracy.. I don’t know.. Like Bodie says in The Wire..: the game is f*#”ing rigged man. We’re just the “little-bitches” on the chessboard (pawns).
Better put on some old jazz and a green tea.
