Three decades of theft – and now this.
From the NyTimes:
CHICAGO — The bitter political standoff in Wisconsin over Gov. Scott Walker’s bid to sharply curtail collective bargaining for public-sector workers ended abruptly Wednesday night as Republican colleagues in the State Senate successfully maneuvered to adopt a bill doing just that.
Disgusting. What Walker did is a wholly and entirely disgusting abuse of power. He should be thrown out of office for his contemptible actions and behavior as governor.
What has happened to our country?
And will anything ever be done to pull our country out of the state that its in and stop it from descending any further into the depths before its too late? I don’t have much hope myself lately…
First this outrageous and contemptible action by Walker, and then the anti-Muslim hearings, and so much else…
What is going on here? And when will the tides turn (if ever)?
I want Clinton back.
Disgusting is the right word. I’m trying to frame this at some distance, to stop boiling over with aggression. Only positive consequence is that the process of pushback and renewal of America will speed up. The art of suppression is to give in once in a while – not this.
And if only that guy we elected to lead – would lead – parts of the tides would have turned already. A TR, FDR, LBJ would have started this job two years ago.
Maybe a Feingold 2012 could fix things. Or Hillary 2012. It’s just a matter of time. All the pieces are in place. And it should’ve been a walkover with the right leader of the country.
Obama won’t lead. He’s already gone back on just about all of his campaign promises, including the promises he made about closing Guantanamo, ending the wars, and on and on…Obama just lied and said anything just to get elected, and now he is showing his true colors.
He is nothing more than an extension of Bush, basically. Sad. He really has disappointed me. I have lost all faith in Obama.
I would support Feingold or Hillary if they run in 2012. But could they win against whoever the other side decides to put up? I cannot see myself ever supporting Obama again in 2012, unless the alternatives on the other side are so much worse that I would have no other choice but to do so…
I think that sums it up – why Obama will probably be re-elected in 2012. Unless we get a twin crash and revolution this fall, and some brand new people enter politics.
