This show is getting a lot better again, as it turns more towards “national” and European politics in the late 15th century.
In this scene the Pope Alexander VI (Jeremy Irons) cleans up the Vatican after a murder attempt and conspiracy.
The visuals are stunning.
This was a great movie too – slow and in a countryside setting, but thoughtful about the game of fracking and the impact on local communities. And Matt Damon does a good job, both with writing and acting.
Movie tip of the week – from a bit different world of corporate folks, but some nice reminders about the rough patches of life, and some good acting too.

The quote is attributed to an anonymous artist long ago, cited by the British writer, Charles Latham in his 1905 book, The Gardens of Italy. The sentiment sums up the intention of the Italian villa—pure beauty! And Villa Gamberaia, set in the peaceful hills overlooking Florence is certainly no exception.
