As of last years turmoil in Iran – the blog of Andrew Sullivan has become the authorative source of news and live coverage, and defined a new type of supplementary journalism hailed by many. Nytimes has a good column on this subject today.
So, the top five suggestions for following the events tomorrow is
- Daily Dish from Andrew Sullivan – the authorative from ’09
- IranNewsNow – already started
- Twitter from the Tehran area – flooding already
- The Lede in NyTimes – picked up in december
- Bbc and Cnn.
The two last depending on sources and access, there was a complete black-out in the december Ashura protests, maybe due to staff-cutting and christmas holidays. The first three however brought clips, pictures and messages from all around Iran – everything realtime.
