Word Watch: “coalesce”

Suddenly everybody found a new word. Whatever happened to “rally” or “unite”?

    • You know, on second thought – it might be a telling choice of words in regards to Romney. The right doesn’t want to rally or unite for Mitt – so they use a passive/abstract “coalesce” instead. Make it impersonal. They would rally for Christie and others I think.

Maybe “amalgamate” is next, or the more reluctant “converge”.
