McConnell Says He Will Not Allow Another Shutdown

Let’s hope this has some validity for January and February… that.. and the more open war on Heritage and other outside groups dictating the House.. groups that have to be protected from themselves.. and their incompetence… that hurts everyone.. and is plainly anti-democracy in their nature… let’s hope…

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told The Hill that he will not allow another government shutdown as part of a strategy to repeal Obamacare.

Said McConnell: "One of my favorite old Kentucky sayings is there’s no education in the second kick of a mule. The first kick of a mule was when we shut the government down in the mid 1990s and the second kick was over the last 16 days. There is no education in the second kick of a mule. There will not be a government shutdown."

He added: "I think we have fully now acquainted our new members with what a losing strategy that is."

  1. Sure McConnell does….

The Senate is NOT where the problem is…..

And Ted Cruz is just pissing off his fellow GOP Senators….

My question was to make fun of Cruz….NOT McConnell…..

    • Funny how two of us misunderstood! But I’m still thinking there will be more trouble next time – and that folks will not listen to the Minority Leader just like that..

  2. Gonna be trouble EACH time…..
But I think the pragmatists and moderates do NOT want to see another fight like the last one….
And the beatdown in the media even though Tea party types loved the ‘fight’
