Poll: Trump doubles nearest competitor in 2016 GOP race

A new Economist Poll: Trump 28, Bush 14, Walker 13.
The McCain comments are long gone.. the hat in Loredo taking all the attention for a couple of days..
And the first debate is only 12 days away..



Businessman Donald Trump has surged to 28 percent support in an Economist/YouGov poll of the 2016 Republican presidential field — double his closest competitor.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush checks in at second place with 14 percent support, followed by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker at 13 percent.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson follows with 7 percent, then Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) with 5 percent.

Rounding out the top ten are Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 4 percent each, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former CEO Carly Fiorina with 3 percent each.
